Once your designs are ready, they often need to go through a feedback round, to confirm everything is ok to go to the printer. To do this, you need to navigate to the Artworks section of your project, and click on the three dots next to the artwork information to open the Artwork details page (See Artwork detaiils)
From here, you can request the Approval. Navigate to the menu "Request Feedback" from the three dots on the top right hand side of the page.
This will take you to a 2-step form to :
1) Select the files you want to send for approval
2) Decide the type of feedback you need (comments only, approval/rejection, or request a new artwork version) - in this case you would select Approval and decide whether you need a digital signature or not. If you see the option Request Digital Signature marked, it means that this was set up by default in your account as your organization may require a digital signature for compliance purposes. Ask your administrator or Key user if you are in doubt if you need it.
In this screen you also would enter the subject of the email to be received by the approver(s); as well as the email addresses/user names of the approvers; and a message of your own to them.
Once this is done, an email will be sent to the recipients with a link to review the files. No more attachments needed.
On the system side, you will see that the version(s) you requested feedback for have now some small circles with an initial on them. These represent the approvers and the color indicates the status of their approval.
- Grey - only comments are requested - > this turns to blue when comments are completed
- Orange - approval was requested but it is pending
- Green - approval was requested and it was approved
- Red - approval was requested and it was rejected
The "See more" link will take you to the details of the approval/rejection or the comments left for the document version.
